Alma Lane Level Crossing upgrade
From 1 April 2022, our contractor Trans4m Rail will continue level crossing and drainage upgrade works on Alma Lane.
Work being done
Works will include installing new drainage structures, installing signage, sealing of the level crossing and general maintenance work.
Works are permitted to occur on Sunday under the relevant project approvals.
Motorists are urged to follow changing traffic conditions on site, including speed zone reductions and directional traffic signage.
What can I expect
- Trucks and other vehicles entering and exiting the construction site
- Construction machinery and equipment operating on site adjacent to live traffic along Alma Lane
- Delivery of materials and equipment
- Some of these works will be noisy and mitigation measures will be in place
- Temporary traffic delays are expected during work hours.
Machinery used
- Trucks,
- cranes,
- graders,
- excavators,
- loaders,
- rollers and
- water/vacuum excavation trucks
will be used within the construction impact zone.
How we’re managing impacts
- Traffic control will be in place, where required
- Water carts will be on site to wet down areas to assist in managing dust.
