The North Star to NSW/Qld Border (NS2B) Community Consultative Committee had its first meeting in December 2018. This committee has 15 members, plus the Independent Chair, who will provide input and feedback into the North Star to NSW/Qld Border project.

Training initiative bolsters employment in Toomelah

We’re working closely with the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE) as they complete their assessment of the North Star to NSW/Queensland Border project and meeting with local industry groups to increase our understanding of issues currently impacting the region.

Celebrating NAIDOC week with our Indigenous communities
Inland Rail will be built and operated on the traditional lands of many Indigenous nations, and we value our relationships with the Indigenous communities along the alignment. This month, we joined Boggabilla Central School and Toomelah Public School to celebrate NAIDOC week in honour of the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
