Council to reuse project water tanks

Our construction contractor, INLink has donated four 25,000 litre water tanks to Parkes Shire Council. This is the first of a series of donations to the community as the Parkes to Narromine construction works being to wrap up.

Water tanks

As construction teams close out their works, they are donating various items to local councils, community groups and other impacted stakeholders as a gesture of thanks in return for the community’s patience and understanding.

The water tanks will be used by council in Parkes and Peak Hill to support other construction works underway. Although not drought breaking, many landowners in the region are enjoying the benefits of recent rains, which have been a welcome change to fill up their own water tanks and dams.

These donations are a practical way for Inland Rail to support the community even after our work is done.
