December 2020 project update for Illabo to Stockinbingal

The Illabo to Stockinbingal project is continuing to work through the reference design phase. We have been extensively engaging with landowners and other key stakeholders to progress our flood modelling and reviewing private access possibilities for landowners.

Using landowner feedback, our design team is progressing the design of suitable locations for private stock underpasses and level crossings along the alignment.

In coming months, we will be continuing investigations into aboriginal cultural heritage, aquatic ecology, biodiversity, landscape character and visual impact, geotechnical, terrestrial, services investigations and ground water monitoring.

These investigations will contribute to the interim reference design that will be shared with stakeholders in early 2021. Project team members and technical subject matter experts will be on hand to discuss the design.
