The Gowrie to Helidon project completed its draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) public notification period on 25 October 2021 and we thank the local community for their submissions. A total of 60 submissions were received by the Office of the Coordinator-General.

The submissions are now being evaluated by the Coordinator-General to determine whether a request for additional information is required.
Early feedback from the Coordinator-General indicates the submissions are focussed on property value, lifestyle and wellbeing, noise and vibration, construction haulage routes and design changes. We expect to receive formal advice from the Coordinator General about the submissions in 2022.

Our environmental studies and assessments are continuing, and we are working on the commitments in the draft EIS, along with reviewing the comments from the other projects, offsets and feedback from independent panel of experts for flood studies in Queensland.
We provided an update to the Lockyer Valley Community Consultative Committee on Tuesday 7 December – details of the meeting, including the presentation and minutes will be available on the Lockyer Valley CCC webpage.
Next steps
Consultation with our stakeholders over the next three months will focus on ongoing one-on-one landholder sessions, government agency briefings and Community Consultative Committee meetings.

Proof of vaccination status
