It has been a busy three months for the Gowrie to Helidon project. Our team continues to work with the Coordinator-General to address its feedback and comments on the preliminary draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).

Community consultation is ongoing along the project alignment with our teams holding one-on-one meetings with community members, landowners and impacted stakeholders.

If you live in the Gowrie to Helidon project area, you may have received in your mailbox the latest project fact sheet.

We have recently produced a number of visualisations to show technical elements of the project – some of these were on view at the Toowoomba Show. Visit the Works and planning section project webpage and scroll down to view the visualisations.

Consultation with the Toowoomba and Lockyer Valley regional councils continues as we refine the project’s reference design. This includes conversations about road and rail interfaces.

We anticipate that the Coordinator-General will release the draft EIS for public exhibition in the near future. We will advise the community as soon as we know more.

Once the draft EIS is released, we will advise the dates and venues of the next Lockyer Valley CCC meeting and the EIS information sessions. We will also produce a draft EIS summary of findings.
