In the community: Trans4m Rail goes Beyond the Track

Our contractor, Trans4m Rail is committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of communities throughout the Narrabri to North Star Phase 1 project area. Trans4m Rail has established the Beyond the Track initiative to support the local community.

Rail tracks.
Recently, Beyond the Track awarded grants to a number of community groups through the Community Assistance Fund, while Trans4m Rail staff provided in-kind support to the community during the flood preparation and clean-up, set up and pack down for the Moree on a Plate event, and to the Moree SHAE Academy by volunteering at an eight-week trial of ‘Saturday Night Activity Nights’.
Local economies across the Narrabri to North Star Phase 1 alignment have shared $25,000 in grants thanks to the first round of Trans4m Rail’s Beyond the Track – Community Assistance Fund.
Ten community groups from the Moree, Narrabri and Gwydir local government areas will receive funding to support various initiatives, events, programs, projects or service delivery.
Recipients of Round 1 funding from the 2021/22 Beyond the Track – Community Assistance Fund include:
  • Moree Little Athletics
  • @Nosh Narrabri
  • Moree Motor Enthusiasts
  • Narrabri Community Radio
  • Grow Events and Moree Chamber of Commerce
  • Whiddon Retirement Village
  • St Philomena’s School P&C
  • National Servicemen’s Association
  • More Women’s Shed
  • Gravesend Public School P & C
Meanwhile, Trans4m Rail’s Senior Safety Advisor, Tim Murray, and IT Support Technician, Jon Skinner, volunteered with 30 young people across an eight-week trial of ‘Saturday Night Activity Nights’ at the Moree SHAE Academy.
The ‘Saturday Night Activity Nights’ program is designed to discourage antisocial behaviour and support young people by keeping them entertained and off the streets. Tim and Jon helped run various activities for the participants during the evening, helping patricipants  have some fun in a safe and supported environment.
Trans4m Rail has established strong relationships and continues to build lasting and positive benefits for the local community. For more information about Trans4m Rail’s Beyond the Track initiative, please email community@t4mr.com.au
