About the Position

The primary objective of this role is to provide support to the Inland Rail sustainability team to better enable them to deliver key sustainability aspects of the program. This will involve the building of strong working relationships with all members of the Sustainability team to support and coordinate key deliverables and activities.

Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:- 

  • Providing support to the Inland Rail Sustainability team to assist with program and project deliverables and activities, including but not limited to monthly reporting, organising meetings, and drafting minutes
  • Investigating the feasibility of sustainability initiatives
  • Managing the integration of IS processes into the project contracts
  • Tracking and reports on performance of the projects against objectives and targets and the IS Council Rating Tool
  • Contributing as a team member and supporting the facilitation and integration of sustainability data in the key systems and processes
  • Supporting the Sustainability Manager in the completion of various management, administration, and research tasks
 About You

To ensure your success in this position, you will be able to demonstrate:-
  • Either currently undertaking or completed relevant tertiary studies in the pursuit of qualifications in Sustainability, Engineering or Environment
  • The ability to work with a team
  • Literacy with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required and experience with customised software packages preferred
  • Sound analysis and investigation skills, with an ability to apply critical thinking to processes
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
Relevant experience in the construction, infrastructure or utilities industry will be considered highly advantageous.
