Major project business capability workshops
The Inland Rail Skills Academy is helping local businesses build capability and hone their contract and tendering skills to meet the requirements of Inland Rail and other major projects.

Eight free targeted business capability workshops and one-on-one mentoring sessions were run in communities along the alignment, including Logan and Beaudesert, in November and December 2020, attracting representatives from more than 30 local businesses.
The workshops provided an opportunity for local businesses, including Indigenous businesses, to better understand how to supply to Inland Rail and other major projects with sessions covering capability statement development and creating an ‘elevator pitch’.
Participants were also offered expert one-on-one mentoring sessions and access to practical tools to help ensure they are in the best possible position to work as suppliers to Inland Rail and other major projects.
