Narrabri dances to fight cancer
The dance floor at Narrabri’s Crossing Theatre lit up with the Stars of Narrabri – Dance for Cancer fundraising event in May.

Local ‘stars’ performed in front of a sell-out crowd of 300 people and were put through their paces by their dance partners. The 10 local performers spent several months perfecting their routines and raising funds, with more than $40,000 raised by the local community for local cancer initiatives.
Hosted by The Cancer Council, the event was proudly supported by Inland Rail through our Community Sponsorships and Donations program. Our sponsorship helped cover the cost of venue hire, catering and even dance training allowing more money to be raised directly for the charity.
The second round of the Inland Rail Sponsorships and Donations Program is currently open and closes on 31 July 2021.
