Local ‘stars’ performed in front of a sell-out crowd of 300 people and were put through their paces by their dance partners. The 10 local performers spent several months perfecting their routines and raising funds, with more than $40,000 raised by the local community for local cancer initiatives.
Hosted by The Cancer Council, the event was proudly supported by Inland Rail through our Community Sponsorships and Donations program. Our sponsorship helped cover the cost of venue hire, catering and even dance training allowing more money to be raised directly for the charity.
The second round of the Inland Rail Sponsorships and Donations Program is currently open and closes on 31 July 2021. If you have an activity, event or project that will benefit your local community and you represent a community group or organisation that is a not-for-profit or local government body, we welcome your application.
For further information on the program please visit our sponsorship and donations page.
