As part of the works we have been upgrading level crossings. The upgrade of Henry Parkes Way level crossing is nearly completed, traffic will be redirected back onto Henry Parkes Way in mid-May 2020.

What we’re doing

  • Upgrading level crossing with flashing lights and boom gates
  • Upgrading drainage structures
  • Installing permanent fencing and signage
  • Landscaping and revegetation.

What to expect

  • In mid-May 2020, traffic will be directed back onto Henry Parkes Way (Condobolin Road)
  • The side road will be closed and removed
  • Temporary boom gates and lights will be utilised at Henry Parkes Way – until permanent boom gates and lights are activated – to ensure the safety of all road users.

Once rail has been installed in each section, the rail will be ‘live’ and construction trains will be intermittently passing across the level crossing. For your continued safety, please ensure you obey all signage at level crossings.
