North Narrabri to Bellata site investigations
From Friday 7 January 2022, our contractor Trans4m Rail will conduct site investigations in the existing rail corridor and construct temporary access roads between North Narrabri and Bellata.
Work being done
Works will occur at various locations between 7am and 6pm Monday to Sunday during scheduled rail corridor shutdowns and are permitted under the relevant Authority approvals.
The works will provide essential data and site access information in preparation for the track possession scheduled for April 2022.
Works will involve:
- Construction of access roads, material storage areas and access gates
- Identification of utility services and surveying
- Grass cutting and vegetation clearing.
What can I expect
- Trucks and other vehicles will enter and exit the rail corridor via access gates along the alignment
- Construction machinery and equipment operating on site
- Low impact activities such as machinery re-fuelling, managing environmental controls and temporary traffic control may occur outside of work hours
- Motorists should follow traffic controls and drive with caution.

How we’re managing impacts
- Traffic control will be in place, where required
