Penneys Road to Tapscott Road out of hours works

Trans4m Rail will commence out of hours works (OOHW) for the purpose of delivering capping and ballast, from Penneys Road to Tapscott Road, south Moree, between late-August and mid-September.

Truck deliveries are required during the OOHW period of 6am to 7am. All other works will occur between 7am and 6pm Monday to Sunday during the
above period.

This will help support works to be completed in time for trains to operate from 1 November between Moree and Narrabri and beyond during the harvest season.

During the works, some residents may experience increased truck activity and noise impacts.

Work being done

  • Replacing existing sleepers and track with concrete sleepers and new steel tracks
  • Trucks and other vehicles entering and exiting construction sites
  • Delivery of materials and equipment
  • Some of these works will be noisy and mitigation measures will be in place
  • Some minor delays are expected. Motorists are urged to follow traffic conditions on site.

How we’re managing impacts

  • Traffic control will be in place, where required
  • water carts will be on site to wet down areas to assist in managing dust.
