Register your interest to supply water for construction of the North Star to NSW/Queensland Border project

The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from landowners interested in supplying water for construction of the North Star to NSW/Queensland Border project.

Water is being sought through either:

  • Purchase of water
  • the lease and/or purchase of existing Water Access Licences (WAL) from surrounding landowners.

Water is proposed to be used for earthworks, track formation preparation and materials conditioning, dust suppression, including material stockpiles and haul roads, concrete production and vehicle wash down areas.

Ideally, the location of the water would be within 25km of the project. However, locations up to 50km from the rail corridor will be considered.

ARTC will review submissions against project requirements and contact landowners to advise whether their EOI has been successful and discuss next steps.

Further EOI may be called for, if required.
