For National Reconciliation Week, our teams from Gatton, Goondiwindi and Toowoomba joined First Nations people, Yvonne O'Neill from University Southern Queensland and Joel Thompson from Thee Group, for a Q&A panel on this year’s theme "Be Brave, Make a Change" for reconciliation.
Police and community members in the regional council area of Goondiwindi, which includes parts of Inland Rail’s QLD/NSW Border to Gowrie project, have joined forces to tackle crime in the area, thanks in part to support from Inland Rail.
This month, the Border to Gowrie team got out and about at FarmFest in Kingsthorpe talking to the farming community from across the region. With record crowds attending this year’s event, the Inland Rail team were available to answer lots of question on the project. In the field, a program-wide koala genetics field study commenced in mid-June with ecologists in the QLD/ NSW Border to Gowrie project area looking for evidence of koala populations.
