Public exhibition for the two Review of Environmental Factors (REF) documents for the Stockinbingal to Parkes project closed on 24 February 2022.
A REF has been prepared to describe the proposed Lachlan River Bridge Modification and the proposed horizontal clearance works between Stockinbingal and Forbes. Each REF is undertaken to meet the requirements of Division 5.1 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
A REF examines the likely environmental impacts of the proposal and helps to determine whether it is likely to significantly affect the environment. If the impact is not significant and the capital value remains below $50 million, ARTC may self-approve and undertake the activity in accordance with the REF.
ARTC will address the submissions received during public exhibition via a Submissions Report. As part of this process, ARTC may undertake further community engagement and impact assessment to assist in responding to issues raised. Once all submissions are addressed, ARTC will publish the submissions report online.
Summary of Findings
We have created two Summary of Findings documents to help you understand what is covered in each REF. The Summary of Findings documents cover statutory regulations, how to make a submission, project description, the types of investigations and consultation conducted, potential impacts and mitigations.
