Inner Darling Downs, Qld – Community Consultative Committee

The two-year tenure of the four initial Queensland community consultative committees—Southern Darling Downs, Inner Darling Downs, Lockyer Valley and Scenic Rim—has concluded.

We are now seeking people who represent their community and/or local organisation in relation to the B2G project on the Southern Darling Downs and Inner Darling Downs committees.

Membership will be renewed in 2020 and continue until the B2G project has gained statutory approval. The call for nominations is being advertised and is open until 31 January 2020. Download the nomination form here.

The first Inner Darling Downs Community Consultative Committee was established in December 2017 and had 16 members, plus the independent Chair, who provided input and feedback into the NSW/QLD Border to Gowrie and Gowrie to Helidon projects.

Towns covered

  • Brookstead
  • Pittsworth
  • Southbrook
  • Gowrie
  • Toowoomba

Chair

ARTC appointed Bill Armagnacq as the Chair of the Inland Rail Inner Darling Downs Community Consultative Committee. Nominations for the Chair were assessed by an independent assessor.

Bill is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has served on the Boards of a range of community and education Not for Profit organisations, as well as companies. Bill was also a Partner at KPMG. Bill’s connection to the community has been built over time through Rotary and other endeavours like the Empire Theatre.
