Helidon to Calvert project update February 2023

The Helidon to Calvert project team have been preparing to consult on the revised draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).

Helidon to Calvert consultation

In coming months, we’ll hold workshops to seek community feedback on the project’s revised draft EIS chapters. Session details are available below.

Consultation has taken place with key stakeholders, the Lockyer Valley Regional Council, Ipswich City Council and the Department of Education as schools need to be informed about proposed road network changes which may impact student drop off and pick areas, as well as bus routes.

We’ve held meetings with tourism operators and accommodation providers to understand how Inland Rail can minimise disruption to their operations while maximising the benefits communities will experience during the planning, construction and operation of Inland Rail. Identifying ways we can better manage impacts and opportunities during periods of high demand is critical to the project.
