Gomeroi Nations Tour inspires young people in Boggabilla

Earlier this month, we supported the Gomeroi Nations Tour in Boggabilla, one of the stops in a series of all ages shows by Indigenous artists on the lands of the Gomeroi/Gamilaraay people.

Headlined by rapper, Kobie Dee, a First Nations role model dedicated to community, the tour across Tamworth, Narrabri, Walgett and Boggabilla was designed to inspire young Indigenous people living in rural areas.

Stakeholder Engagement Manager Central, Naomi Tonscheck said Inland Rail was proud to support such an important initiative within the North Star to NSW/Queensland Border project area.

“Our stakeholder engagement and social performance teams work closely with the Indigenous community in and around Boggabilla, so we were really pleased to be invited to be part of the local event,” Mrs Tonsheck said.

“We popped up some Inland Rail gazebos to shade concert-goers and thoroughly enjoyed having a chat with everyone who visited our information stand – we even managed to get Kobie Dee’s signature!”
