Gowrie to Helidon and Helidon to Calvert projects gear up for revised EIS workshops in 2023
The Gowrie to Helidon (G2H) and Helidon to Calvert (H2C) projects both received requests for additional information (also known as RFIs) following each project's draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) in 2022.

We have conducted a number of additional studies to inform our response to these RFIs and additional engagement sessions are being planned for 2023.
Completed investigations include gathering flooding images and videos via drone and through community requests, groundwater bore surveys using our online interactive maps, a koala workshop and drop-in information sessions at local markets and events.
We spoke to 56 residents at the recent Gowrie Junction Twilight market – we thank everyone who stopped by to talk about topics like noise and vibration and the project alignment.
The H2C team held regular drop-in information stalls at the Laidley RSL and Rosewood markets, as well as the Rosewood Show and Gatton Show.
The Gatton office remained open throughout the year for community members to drop-in to find out more about Inland Rail or chat about specific concerns.
What’s happening in 2023
Engagement opportunities early in the year will include EIS interactive workshops/drop-in sessions for our G2H and H2C projects as well as meetings for the Gowrie to Calvert, and Scenic Rim and Ipswich community consultative committees.
One-on-one engagement with impacted landowners will continue, including meetings with any new landowners.
All workshops/information sessions will be widely advertised in your local printed newspapers and via our social media platforms, website and e-newsletters.
