Inland Rail sparks interests from visitors at Seymour Expo

There was strong interest in the progress of Inland Rail in Victoria and lots of positivity from visitors attending the Seymour Alternative Farming Expo in April.

The popular annual event, which runs over three days, saw around 180 people drop by the Inland Rail stand to talk about the project.

Now that we’re building Inland Rail in Victoria, people were interested to understand our construction progress at Glenrowan, Wangaratta and Seymour and keen for updates on our Tranche 2 sites at Broadford, Wandong, Tallarook, Benalla, Euroa and Seymour.

Those that dropped by also had the chance to try our virtual reality (VR) headset and experience firsthand the new higher Beaconsfield Parade bridge in Glenrowan. The new bridge is high enough for double-stacked freight trains.

Visitors to the Seymour Expo take a “virtual” trip to view the new Beaconsfield Parade bridge in Glenrowan.

We’ll continue to meet with landowners, our nearest neighbours and the wider community to provide updates and gather feedback as we continue constructing Inland Rail.
