The Gowrie to Helidon project team will shortly hold a series of community workshops with community feedback informing the revised draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).

Gowrie to Helidon consultation

The workshops aim to provide updates on the project and collect information on specific topics which can be included in updates to the project’s EIS chapters.

We encourage you to attend the sessions below to discuss any feedback you may have.

Social performance and Sustainability workshop

  • Date: 16 March 2023
  • Time: 6pm–8pm
  • Venue: Gowrie Junction Progress Association Hall, Gowrie Junction

Flora, fauna and offsets workshop

  • Date: 19 April 2023
  • Time: 6pm–8pm
  • Venue: Murphys Creek Community Centre, Murphys Creek

The social and sustainability workshop will seek your input on business and supply chain opportunities, workforce participation, housing and accommodation and community health and wellbeing.

During this workshop, we’ll also gather your views on how the project can leave a positive legacy in the community. You can complete this activity online if you’re unable to attend the workshop.

We’ll be running a sausage sizzle, so we look forward to seeing you there and encourage you to share the event details with those that may be interested in the project.

The next Gowrie to Calvert Community Consultative Committee meeting will be held in Laidley with a special presentation on social performance.
