North of Narrabri to Penneys Road ongoing construction works
Our contractor Trans4m Rail will continue construction works within the rail corridor between the Plant Breeding Institute, north of Narrabri and Penneys Road, Bellata.
Work being done
From Monday 29 May 2023, our contractor Trans4m Rail will continue construction works within the rail corridor between the Plant Breeding Institute, north of Narrabri and Penneys Road, Bellata.
Works will involve:
- upgrading signaling and communications equipment
- surveying
- installing signage, fencing and landscaping
- commissioning and finishing works.
Low impact activities associated with the works, such as machinery re-fueling, managing environmental controls and traffic control may occur outside of working hours.
What can I expect?
- Trucks and other vehicles will enter and exit the construction site via multiple access gates
- construction machinery and equipment operating on site
- delivery of materials and equipment
- changed traffic conditions under traffic control.

- Hi-rail vehicles
- excavators
- loaders
- watercarts.
How we’re managing impacts
Traffic control will be in place and water carts used to assist in managing dust, where required.
