Eighteen Wagga Wagga locals including sixteen First Nations participants are on track for a bright future working in the rail industry after graduating from a five-week course to build their infrastructure skills thanks to the Inland Rail Skills Academy (IRSA).

International Rugby League great Greg Inglis, founder of the Goanna Academy, has helped Inland Rail celebrate two milestone partnerships that will help improve the education, life skills, self-esteem, and employment prospects of First Nations youth in regional communities on the Inland Rail alignment, at a special event in Albury.

Inland Rail announces latest social performance figures
Inland Rail has announced its Social Performance figures for 2023, with the latest data showing that at end-December the Inland Rail project had employed a further 900 workers in 2023, taking total worker numbers to 4,700 across the project since construction began in 2018 with the Parkes to Narromine project.

Inland Rail provides $244 million boost to northwest New South Wales
Regional communities in northwest New South Wales, including Moree, Narrabri and Tamworth, have reaped a major economic boost of $244 million as a result of construction of the Narrabri to North Star Phase 1 section of the Inland Rail project, with major construction of the section set to finish next week.
