Catching up with the CWA

Earlier this month we joined the Goondiwindi Queensland Country Women’s Association (CWA) at their first meeting back since the COVID-19 pandemic. Armed with bottled water and sunscreen for all, we joined the group at the Goondiwindi and District Community Garden where they will soon take over two garden beds.

Inland Rail engagement advisor Laura Marer speaking with the Goondiwindi Country Women's Association

Our Goondiwindi-based engagement advisor, Lauren Marer recently had the pleasure of meeting the Goondiwindi Queensland Country Women’s Association (CWA) to talk about the project and our Sponsorships and Donations program.

Set against the backdrop of the Goondiwindi and District Community Garden where the group is preparing to plant two garden beds, it was inspiring to hear how this active group of women work together to improve the lives of people living in regional, rural and remote Queensland and surrounds.

Local knowledge is vital to Inland Rail. We’re doing this by talking and listening to those affected, as well as working closely with local communities.
