Moree to North Camurra – Phase 2 update
Phase 2 of Narrabri to North Star involves upgrading 15km of existing track and building 2.3km of new track across the Mehi-Gwydir floodplain at Camurra, north of Moree.

The upgrade will include the replacement of track, formation, structures, level crossings, signalling, and bridges over the Gwydir and Mehi Rivers.
Currently, we are conducting environmental assessments and technical investigations in conjunction with extensive consultation with individual stakeholders, councils and industry groups. This includes in-person meetings with landowners on important community issues, such as flooding and hydrology.
The Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Phase 2 is expected to be submitted to the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment in mid-2021.
